Good topic. not too many movies that celebrate women (and I don't mean those oversenti mom movies). Forget celebrating, how many movies which have no scenes disrespectful of women? A woman is wayward, slap her, she will become ok. The surest way to falling in love, stalk/eve-tease/insult her.
kannin maniye kannin maniye from MUV - one song that in a nutshell summarises the ethos of the Indian woman. Out of the 70-80 movies(incl. repeats) I watched in my life, saw this one 4 times[most of course is Nayagan :) ]

ttm, I couldn't find 'Kannin maniye' and 'naan paadi konde iruppen' which I wanted to list. I actually got to see 'MUV' very recently only and somehow felt 'Aval oru thodarkadhai' more impressive.
