Years back, on my first sight seeing trip to Boston with some relatives, the tour guide asked the visitors one by one, "Where are you from?" The others were answering 'California', 'New Jersey' etc. and so, when it was my turn, I said, "Massachusetts!". Me in plaited hair, pottu on the forehead etc. the tour guide must've thought, 'really?'!! When it was my relatives' turn, they chorused 'India' almost immediately.
Recently, on a trip to Ruby Falls in Tennessee, again the same 'Where are you from?' from the tour guide and this time I said "India" almost the same time my husband answered, 'Georgia'! The tour guide commented, "So, you guys are not sure, huh?" Oops, I did it again!!

Ruby Falls...hmmmmmm. Reminded of my ATL-Chattanooga trip 4 yrs back..during one phase of the drive you encounter a highway with 8 lanes a great sight. But the waterfall was a letdown, nothing like Jog/Hogenakkal for $13.95 :(
Then there's another attraction nearby - Rocket/Bucket Mountain???(with a great view overlooking 5 states)
On that occasion, the guide told us not to taste the water as it makes you sleep!
deepa, good, will try that next time!
dushti, yes, it was. Thanks!
i, yaaru? Naan dhaane?
ttm, true, the waterfall is nothing compared to the others, but the location of it seemed kind of unique. Especially learning about Lambert's 17 hr exploration!
