Varumaiyin niram sivappu!
I am sure for many of you, like me, the defeat of Chandrababu Naidu and NDA government would have come as a big shock. It seemed as if the masses were mocking at/curtailing the government's steps to improving the economy. Later it emerged that the governments were only concentrating on the outer shine, polishing while the main inner core was/is rusting and decaying. Read this post, Green revolution, by Senthil about how globalisation is affecting our agriculture sector and how the poor farmers are caught in the middle. With nature playing truant most of the time and governments playing political games, the farmer who toils and labours on the field not able to feed himself and his family is so pathetic.

Yeah it was a surprise shock for not only me for many of my telugu friends as well.. So was the case of ex-Karnataka CM SM Krishna.. He is nowhere now. The problem with such defeats is that the politicians think about neglecting the infrastructure development, which is very bad..
What's more worrying than the politician's non-performance is our blind acceptance of them as being "reformers" or "visionaries".
Raju, IMO, our politicians are always trying out quick fixes and hence the basic problems remain or even grow.
Bala(Karthik), true. We are always looking for saviours.
Cent percent I agree with you. Across globe the same problem presist, those people only polishing the Captial's and not considering the Rural's.
(Crossing fingers something good will happen....)
friday mudiya pogudhu, enna aalai kaanom?
Vishnu, for literate people like us it takes a while to understand such things.
Raju, sorry! Been a bit busy! Midnight varaikkum Friday dhaane!!!
